T his is ultimately the start of any tennis player’s career and for a player, there is probably no greater feeling than winning a tennis tournament. It is vital that sufficient preparation is done before playing any tennis tournament, players training for these tournaments are required to master various different tactics during our training sessions.
Very little technique work is done, unless there is something that needs urgent attention. Probably the most important aspect of playing tennis tournaments is mental preparation. Any player should be willing to lose, and be willing to use that loss as motivation and learning’s for his/her future matches.
Finally all players should go out and have fun. Even though there is a competitive aspect we are ultimately playing for the enjoyment of the sport. We would recommend tournaments according to player’s ability. Usually players would start off with B grade tennis tournaments and then move on to more advanced tennis tournaments at a later stage.
